Transgender March
On Friday the annual Transgender March will begin at 6:45 p.m. from Dolores Park. The route will be as follows: north on Dolores Street, east on Market Street and north on 7th Street into U.N. Plaza.

The following Muni lines and routes will be affected:

· J Church
· 5 Fulton
· 6 Parnassus
· 9 San Bruno
· 19 Polk
· 21 Hayes
· 22 Fillmore

Pink Saturday
On Saturday the Pink Saturday event will be held from 6 p.m. to midnight. The following Muni lines and routes will be affected:

33 Stanyan
35 Eureka
37 Corbett

Golden Gate Triathlon
The Golden Gate Triathlon will take place on Sunday at 6 a.m. in the Presidio. 400 participants are expected to participate at the event.

The 29 Sunset Muni Route will be affected.

Your Weekend Muni Transit Advisory

Another busy weekend is in store for San Francisco. Tomorrow, temperatures are forecast to reach 80 degrees. Stay hydrated and keep applying that sun screen, folks!

Here are SFMTA’s weekend transit advisories:

U.S. Open Championship
The US Open at The Olympic Club began Monday, June 11 and will continue through Sunday, June 17. U.S. Open shuttles operate from the Colma BART Station and Candlestick Park to the event. For more details about the event and transportation, please visit www.usopen.com.

While the 18 46th Avenue is affected by the event, it is also the best Muni service to use to get to the U.S. Open. Please visit the U.S. Open page on www.sfmta.com for more details.

North Beach Festival
On Saturday and Sunday the North Beach Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

The following Muni routes will be affected:

· 30 Stockton
· 39 Coit
· 45 Union/Stockton
· 8X Bayshore Express

Juneteenth Celebration
On Saturday and Sunday the Juneteenth Celebration will take place on Fillmore Street between Post and Turk streets from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. Please visit San Francisco Juneteenth for more details.

The following Muni routes will be affected on Saturday and Sunday:

· 5 Fulton
· 22 Fillmore

Juneteenth Parade
The Juneteenth Parade will begin on Saturday at 11 a.m. starting from the African American Art and Cultural Complex on Fulton Street. It will proceed north on Polk Street, west on McAllister Street, north on Webster Street, west on Turk Street, north on Scott Street and east on O’Farrell Street to the Burl L. Toler Campus.

The following Muni routes will be affected on Saturday:

· 5 Fulton
· 22 Fillmore
· 31 Balboa

Lots going on. Here are some weekend transit advisories, courtesy SFMTA:

Giants Homestand
Friday, Saturday and Sunday the Giants will host home games at AT&T Park. More details about Muni service to AT&T Park, including connections from other Bay Area transit systems, can be found at sfmta.com.

Haight Ashbury Street Fair
On Sunday the annual Haight Ashbury Street Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The following Muni line and routes will be affected:

· N Judah
· 33 Stanyan
· 43 Masonic
· 37 Corbett
· 71 Noriega

Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon
The annual “Escape from Alcatraz” Triathlon will begin at 7:30 a.m., Sunday with a swim from Alcatraz to the St. Francis Yacht Club. Participants will then bike through the Presidio to Great Highway, through Golden Gate Park, back to the Marina for the run to Baker Beach and back to the Marina Green for the finish. The following Muni routes will be affected by the triathlon:

· 18 46th Avenue
· 29 Sunset
· 38 Geary (outbound only)

Temporary Street Closure
From 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, there will be a temporary street closure on Mission Street between Beale and Main streets. The following Muni routes will be affected:

· 14 Mission
· 14L Mission Limited
· 38 Geary
· 71 Haight-Noriega

U.S. Open Championship
The US Open (the national championship of golf in the United States) will take place at The Olympic Club in San Francisco starting Monday, June 11 through Sunday, June 17. The U.S. Open will offer free shuttles from the Colma BART Station and Candlestick Park. For more details about the event and transportation, please visit www.usopen.com.

Your Weekend Muni Transit Advisory — Happy Birthday, Golden Gate Bridge!

As you might already know, the “long shutdown” of rail service to the N-Judah will start in about three hours. Muni will provide bus shuttles to service that and other affected routes. The agency is also encouraging walking and cycling over this holiday weekend and the entire span of 10 days that the line will be shut off to LRV service. For more info, click here.

Here are the rest of your Memorial Day weekend transit advisories:

Carnaval Parade

On Sunday the Carnaval Parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. The staging area for the parade will be on Bryant Street between 18th and Cesar Chavez streets. Assembly for the parade will begin at 5 a.m. and the parade will finish by 4 p.m.

The parade will proceed west on 24th Street from Harrison Street, north on Mission Street and east on 17th Street to the dispersal area along 17th Street, South Van Ness Avenue and 15th Street.

Cross traffic along Bryant Street where parade staging is will be allowed until 9 a.m.

Streets will be opened to traffic after the parade passes.

No public parking will be available for this event. Event and parade participants are encouraged to take public transportation.

Golden Gate Bridge 75th Anniversary Celebration and Fireworks

On Sunday the Golden Gate Bridge 75th anniversary celebration will take place. Celebration activities will start at 11 a.m. in the area from Fort Point to Pier 39. Fireworks showcasing the bridge, bay and surrounding parks will begin at 9:30 p.m. and can only be seen between the Golden Gate Bridge and Fort Mason. The Golden Gate Bridge will be closed from approximately 9 p.m. until after the firework show ends.

Supplemental Bus Service
SFMTA will provide supplemental bus service on the following bus routes to the event area from 1 p.m. until after the event:

· 22 Fillmore
· 28L 19th Avenue Limited
· 30 Stockton
· 43 Masonic (6 to 8 p.m. only)

Special Bus Service
The 47L Van Ness Limited special bus service will be provided beginning at 1 p.m. between Civic Center and the Marina. This bus route will only serve the following stops:

· Civic Center BART/Muni Station, Grove and Larkin streets
· Van Ness Avenue and Geary Street
· Van Ness Avenue and Sacramento Street
· Fillmore Street and Bay Street

Regular Muni fares will apply.

The 47L buses will provide pre-event service from the Civic Center BART/Muni station (Grove and Larkin streets) until 8:30 p.m.; post-event service from Fillmore and Bay streets back to the Civic Center BART/Muni station will be available from approximately 9:50 p.m. until midnight.

Passengers who wish to board at Civic Center station should take the Grove Street exit from the Civic Center BART/Muni station. SFMTA staff will be on site to assist customers.

The last bus will depart Fillmore and Bay streets stop at midnight.

Event participants are encouraged to walk, bike and take public transportation to the event. Delays are expected due to heavy pedestrian activity and traffic congestion throughout the celebration and after the firework show.

This weekend’s traffic advisory from the SFMTA.

The 7th annual Uncorked! SF Wine Festival will be held on Saturday at and around Ghirardelli Square between 1 and 6 p.m. The following street closures will be required all day Saturday, 12 a.m. to midnight:

  • Beach Street between Larkin and Polk Streets

The 19 Polk Muni route will be affected.

On Saturday the Asian Heritage Street Festival will be held in front of the Asian Art Museum from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.  For more details, please visit 8th Asian Heritage Street Celebration website. The following street closures will be required from 3 a.m. to 9 p.m.:

  • Larkin Street between Hayes and Ellis streets
  • McAllister Street between Hyde and Polk streets
  • Fulton Street between Larkin and Hyde streets
  • Eddy Street between Polk and Hyde streets
  • Turk Street between Polk and Hyde streets
  • Golden Gate Avenue between Polk and Hyde streets
  • Intersections at Larkin Street: Fulton Street, McAllister Street, Golden Gate Avenue, Turk Street, Eddy Street and Willow Street

The following Muni routes may be affected:

  • 5 Fulton
  • 19 Polk
  • 31 Balboa

Your Weekend Muni Transit Advisory

This weekend’s traffic advisory from the SFMTA.

N Line Rail and Street Improvements

From 8 p.m., Friday through 5 a.m., Monday, the SFMTA will continue the track work on the N Judah Line with the construction of the new boarding island on Duboce Avenue between Belcher and Church streets, including the demolition of the existing boarding island from 8pm, Friday until 8 p.m., Sunday. Roadwork for this project will take place on Duboce Avenue at the intersections of Noe, Sanchez and Steiner. The Carl Street project will include track work on Carl Street from Willard Street to Stanyan Street and sewer replacement will be done on Carl Street between Stanyan and Cole streets. Maintenance of Way road work will take place on Judah Street at 38th Avenue; the related traffic and parking impacts will be in place from 9 a.m., Friday until 3 p.m. Monday.

Muni Service Impacts

N Judah bus shuttles will operate all weekend between Ocean Beach and Church Street. The first outbound stop will be on the northwest corner of Market and Church streets. The first outbound accessible stop will be on 14th Street at Church Street. From La Playa to Arguello the N buses will follow the regular N Line route. East of Arguello the N service will re-route around the construction and street closure. The service will run as an express between Cole and Frederick and Castro and Duboce.

N Owl bus service will be rerouted from Carl Street onto Frederick Street.

SFMTA Ambassadors will be in the area to provide information and to assist customers at transfer points.

Athletic Association Event

The San Francisco Gaelic Athletic Association event will take place at San Francisco Gaelic Fields on Treasure Island this Saturday and Sunday. This event will also take place next weekend, May 19 and 20. Avenue “H” between 11th and 13th streets will be closed from 7 a.m., Saturday until 5 p.m., Sunday this weekend and next.

Muni Service Impacts

The 108 Treasure Island Muni route will be affected between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, both weekends.

Street Closure for Cruise Ship Dockings

On Sunday there will be multiple cruise ship dockings along The Embarcadero. The Embarcadero between North Point and Bay streets will be closed from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Muni Service Impacts

The following Muni line and routes will be affected:

  • F Market and Wharves
  • 8 Shuttle
  • 8X Bayshore Express

How Weird Street Faire

On Sunday the annual How Weird Street Faire will be held from noon to 8 p.m. on Howard Street. Heavy pedestrian traffic is expected in the area. Event participants are encouraged to take public transportation to the event.

The following street closures will be required from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.:

  • Howard Street between 1st and New Montgomery streets
  • 2nd Street between Mission and Folsom streets

Muni Service Impacts

The following Muni line and routes will be affected:

  • 10 Townsend
  • 12 Folsom Pacific
