Okay, probably not really. But @claudiafabbrini’s Instagram got us wondering.
And it’s not like Muni riders making the most of their commutes by exercising is new or anything.

While trolling America’s most trusted news source, The Onion, this headline leaped straight into my retinas (and my nose, and my grossly accurate smell memory):

It’s not just curried shrimp for us Muni riders, of course. It’s fried chicken with a tinge of formaldehyde on the 71. It’s your neighbor’s unbecoming new scent, “hot yoga studio but filled w hippies+Mexi food+used diapers,” on the 1. Just as easily, Muni smells like hot-dog juice, fertilizer, week-old pants, or pancakes (AKA the worst breakfast ever).

Give Muni Chief Ed Reiskin an Earful Tonight

SF Appeal reports that the new director of transportation, Ed Reiskin, will take your comments and questions about Muni at the Rescue Muni board of directors meeting tonight.

Are we all familiar with the idea of rickroll? Here it goes:
“When Jason put the boombox above his head, it played 5 seconds of Peter Gabriel’s “In Your Eyes” (per Say Anything) and then suddenly jumped to “Never Gonna Give You Up.” My costume was modified to be tear-away, and I was Rick Astley underneath. Boom. Real life rickroll.”
These guys did it all over town, and of course the N and L got rickrolled properly! Check out the video. Props to @SaraMurphy for sending this video our way … and in effect, rickrolling us, too!
Muni bus hits pedestrian downtown (updates)
Update (9:44 a.m. Monday): SF Weekly reports that the victim has been identified as 71-year-old Manuel Tomaneng.
Update (7:05 p.m.): SFGate reports that the pedestrian in the accident has died from the wounds he sustained.
Update (7:02 p.m.): CBS5 reports that a witness says the pedestrian was jaywalking when he was struck by the Muni bus.
Original post: SFGate reports that a Muni bus has struck a pedestrian in downtown, pinning the pedestrian under its wheels.
Police and firefighters shut down Fifth and Mission Streets for a block while they worked to free the man from under the bus. Using wooden planks, they lifted the bus, freed the victim and took him away in an ambulance. His condition was not known.

Local menswear design house MAAS & Stacks has released a lookbook shot on BART and other San Francisco transit centers, according to Refinery29. I should mention that Refinery29 actually reports: “A Lookbook Full Of Cute Guys In Adventure-Worthy Threads? Yes, Please.”
Hmm. I’m not sure what kind of adventure these men are ready for — getting Ritual coffee somewhere outside of the Mission?
