Something about riding the bus gives you that “it takes a village” feeling. When a rider saw a kid on the bus doing something he shouldn’t be doing, he took matters into his own hands. Rider Ben R. sent us this story.

Original post (Wednesday): A man was found under the BART train in Glen Park and pronounced dead at the scene, reports the Contra Costa Times. Police and paramedics arrived on the scene around 3:52 p.m. today, according to the Contra Costa Times report. The man’s identity has not been released, and police did not have details about how the man ended up under the train.

Rider Evan S. noticed a rider in distress:
So the other day I got off at the Van Ness station and saw a woman frantically running between turnstiles. It looked like she was tapping her Clipper Card over and over again. She seemed very upset. It might have had something to do with the fact that she was trying to tap her paper transfer ticket from the bus…#thestruggle
It’d be pretty cool if you could tap your paper transfer, though.
p.s. Unrelated question: what is the appropriate usage of hashtags in non-tweet sentences or regular speech?
Rider Dan spotted a fellow passenger on Muni who was passing the time doing something really fun:
I was wondering what this man was doing with this massive amount of palm tree branches when I realized he was making incredibly awesome flowers.
That would make one kick-ass bouquet, especially since it’s a holy week for some.
