OK, it’s actually technically a bass, but now the headline doesn’t make sense.

Funny, cool, and odd, all at once: our favorite. As far as strange cargo on Muni goes, this is perhaps the friendliest-seeming one yet. I’d also like to direct your attention to the hat atop the head of the human holding the instrument. ’nuff said.

The end of the strike wasn’t the only BART news yesterday. And how.

“Leslie Bailey, 28, was arrested May 8 shortly after a BART train operator saw him on on his knees in the nearly empty first car, thrusting his pelvis against a seat next to the cab.

“Bailey, who boarded the Dublin-Pleasanton train at the 16th Street Station, exited at Civic Center but returned to his paramour just before the doors closed, according to the San Francisco public defender’s office. The operator testified that she then saw him gyrating on his stomach, his feet in the aisle, before he flipped over and began masturbating and smoking crack cocaine.”

Breaking: BART strike ends

KPIX is reporting that the BART unions and BART management have come to agreement on a new contract, and that limited service will resume Tuesday morning.

“BART spokeswoman Alicia Trost said limited service will begin at 4 a.m. on all lines. Trains will likely be running at full strength in time for the Tuesday afternoon commute.”
