Muni Diaries Live is back on Saturday, April 5!

Muni Diaries Live 9 audience storytellers

The night you get to commiserate with your fellow Muni riders and remember again why you love San Francisco all over again is back! Twice a year, we turn Muni Diaries into a live show where writers, comedians, poets, and everyday riders tell stories that are so good, they can only happen on Muni.

On Saturday, April 5, come to the Elbo Room to celebrate everything unexpected that can happen from point A to point B on just one bus ride.

We are bringing back our new Muni Haiku champion, Jesse James, in his first battle to defend his crown. You’ll also hear stories from SFGate’s Peter Hartlaub, science writer Annalee Newitz, comedian Kate Willett, and TMI Storytelling‘s own Gina Gold. For this show we’re inviting a surprise Muni insider whose story you’ve gotta hear! We’ll announce the full lineup soon, so grab your tickets now!

Plus, bring your own 2-minute Muni story for a chance to win some awesome prizes from local businesses.

This week in ‘Smells on Muni’

Last week, we learned that “#sfmuni” and “#muni” were the two most popular hashtags around here. I recently went through the @munidiaries archives, and discovered that you guys’ favorite Muni topic was—surprise!—what it smells like.

To honor you, Muni’s smell-reporting set, we bring you the week in Muni smells.

  • This guy next to me smells like hella fresh laundry.
  • On the #njudah playing “guess the source of the smell”
  • SOS I’m drowning in Axe Body Spray fumes. 🙁 #SFMuni
  • There is so much cologne on this train I may throw up. #sfmuni

#munismells, anyone?

This week’s roundup brought to you @faithy, @privildeged, @ImekaSF, and @hollyleach. Contribute your Muni stories, smells or other, to @munidiaries. You won’t be sorry.
