It’s New York Fashion Week and I’ve got fashion-fever. So I hope you’ll allow me to take a brief detour to bring you a weekend photo post of fashion seen on transit around the world.

A fun thing to do this weekend? How about getting $100 to Hog and Rocks? Write a review on the Muni Google Places page and you can win $100 worth of delicious drinks, charcuterie, oysters, and the chance to have your review read on stage by the one and only Anna Conda. Trust me, you won’t regret this.

Enjoy these photos and your weekend!

Photo Diary: Muni Rebels

These Muni metro rebels were captured on Instagram by Kiki Spaulding (loverlykiki). We’ve seen this stunt done in the day time too, in this cyclist’s fare evasion, McGuyver style.

Looks dangerous…and maybe I shouldn’t be saying this, but kind of fun.*

Have you snapped cool shots of Muni with Instagram? Make sure you tag it Muni so I can find it. Or email it to us! Our inbox is always hungry.

*Just day dreaming! Kids and adults, don’t take any encouragements about anything from me!

Before and After Muni Sightings with OldSF

Jeff and I fell down the OldSF.org rabbit hole again and found some photos of Muni in the old days. The photo of Cala Foods above is the site of an old cable car barn near California and Hyde. We found a lot more before and after photos where Muni makes a cameo. A closeup of the old building on California and Hyde:

The superintendent checks out the fleet in the barn.

We found some more examples — see if you can spot some familiar landmarks.

Or how about this, on Fifth and Mission?

We have a ton of old timey Muni ephemera over at Muni Time Capsule too. Check it out or share your own story and photos in the time capsule with us.

While diving in our Flickr pool, I came across this photo that look extremely familiar. Isn’t this the Muni Diaries baby onesie being sold at Secession Art and Design? That’s one hip baby!

If you’re looking for transit goodies in a real, brick and mortar store, don’t forget to check out our wares at Secession, 3361 Mission and 30th. Our Fast Pass Clipper Card holders are also available at Bay Crossings in the Ferry Building.
