Have You Seen: Queue Stickers for Muni Buses?

@hellajenny posted this on Twitter the other day, correctly noting, “Well, that’s new.”

I sorta like it. It makes the bus look friendly (WHATEVER, IT DOES), and maybe it’ll encourage queuing/not bum-rushing to get on the vehicle first.

Though, I would miss the guessing game where you try to stand nearest to where the doors will open, then silently (or loudly, we won’t judge) celebrate your hitting the mark.

Have you seen these around town? Do they work? We’ll leave “work” up to individual interpretation.

Muni Art Diary: Mural at 21st and Mission

This beaut adorns a mural at 21st Street and Mission. I love how generic but unmistakable it is.

Here’s a wider view for some context.

Funny, because it kinda looks like the LRV is emerging from West Portal, though that’s nowhere nearby. And correct me if I’m wrong, but I’ve never seen people playing music on streets out there.

Also, it is still strange not hearing and seeing buses on Mission Street.

Urban Camo Man Takes Muni

Yesterday was a rough one on Muni. A man whose leg was cut off in a collision with Muni at Civic Center later died from injuries. A system shutdown ensued, and delays rippled throughout the day.

On the other hand, there was this guy and his four-leggers. As @girlinchucks says, “So, um, there is a man on the F Market dressed up like his dogs. What an eff’d up day for Muni. Just sayin’.”
