The Muni Metro Map, Caffeinated
Thrillist SF’s Joe Starkey has gone and done us a solid here. He created a mashup of the Muni Metro map with prominent coffee shops located at or near the stations and stops.
“Chances are, if you’re riding Muni in the morning, you desperately need coffee. So, we’ve gone out of our way to make your life easier, by using SF Muni’s map and our caffeine rolodex to plot out the best, closest coffee shop to every stop on Muni (that matters), replacing each stop name with the name of said caffeine-slinger. The only rule: all of the coffee shops had to be under a 10min walk away from their respective stop.”

Public transit mayo eater inspires vomit
Just when I thought I had seen it all.
Quick story: Mayonnaise is disgusting. It is acceptable only in tuna and chicken salad. It is certain not acceptable to eat that barfotastic crap straight from the jar. To say nothing of doing this on Muni.

Are you ready for some shaming?
Now that the Superb Owl is over, it’s time for everyone’s other favorite spectator sport, BART and Muni shaming, for which there is never an offseason.
We have Exhibit A, above, via Muni rider Victoria: “This guy didn’t give up seat for pregnant woman, is talking on phone & has legs wide spread.”
Oh, good. Totally makes up for it if you’re on the phone and man-sitting.
Then, via BART rider and friend extraordinaire Eileen: “I like to call it ‘I’m pretending to sleep so I don’t have to acknowledge the octogenarians in need of a seat swaying to and fro.'”
As much as I love a good game of peek-a-boo, this is neither the time nor the place.

Look, it’s as good a time as any if you also don’t care about taking up the special seats. BART is also your own personal workspace/couch, didn’t you know?
