On Tuesday, we posted a photo of Saint Nick waiting for Muni, proving that even he isn’t immune to the worst tragedy in all our lives.

Then yesterday, we spotted this eye-witness pic taken by @atasteofcyn of the old guy strap-hangin’ and stylin’ his merry way … back to the North Pole?

The Holidays Are Here for SF Streetcars

The good folks at Market Street Railway graciously invited us to attend the annual streetcar holiday decoration (2009’s decorated streetcars are here). MSR volunteers were at the Geneva Yard this morning with boxes full of garland, wreaths, bows, colored balls, and more. Cars 952 (New Orleans) and 1818 (Milan) were decked out, and are now ready for the month ahead. To MSR on behalf of Muni Diaries, thanks for waiting until after Thanksgiving!

Photo Diary: Cool cloud day over Muni

With the cold weather came a banner of HOLY SHIT LOOK AT THAT, spreading across the sky.

Jeff and I work across the street from this Muni lot by Pier 39, and it’s never looked quite so good. As he said before I took this pic, “This is God congratulating San Francisco on winning the World Series.”
