It’s Always Snacktime on Muni

100 Muni StoriesReal, honest-to-goodness Muni is found just as easily in 140 characters as it is in 1,400. To whit:

@alleekate418: On the T watching a man eat something out of his shoe.

What kind of shoe, I wonder? And are we talking M&Ms or mashed potatoes?

More Muni experiences await your eyeballs — check out the rest in our “100 Days, 100 Muni Stories Muni” celebration. And we still want to hear from you; send us your stories today, ’cause the best ones will be excerpted on a real-life Muni bus ad.

At least the wheels didn’t come off?

Hey, Muni, you got something, uh, hanging off … right there. No, to the left. No, a little more to the right. There it is.

Camera-ready Christopher sent us this dispatch of a one-car (minus one door) N-Judah:

…some photos of the door that went flying off mid-route that caused yesterdays inbound delay. After they kicked everyone off at Van Ness station, the train then slowly creeped back through the station with the door having been pulled off and sitting in the middle of the carriage. I wish I had gotten a photo of that!

Don’t sell yourself short, Christopher. This is very Hulk Smash to me.

How on earth does this happen?

Bay to Breakers Best Transit Costume

Not that we’re biased or anything, but this Bay to Breakers costume is kind of awesome. Photographer Octoferret dropped this gem in our Flickr pool. If you were at our birthday party, you know that we have a Clipper card costume in the Muni Diaries closet.

Here is a gallery of our awesome party goers doing their best poses — wearing the Clipper Card and Fast Pass costumes, natch — in the Orange Photography photobooth.

Next year’s Bay to Breakers: let’s be costume twins?
