Noting the coincidence, Fitz the Reporter found this old paper Muni Fast Pass in a book by Dave Eggers. What a find! I mean, who knew that books still existed?
Fast Passes have, of course, gone extinct. But you can still wrap your icky Clipper Card in a Fast Pass with the card holders available in the Muni Diaries Etsy store!

Muni rider Chale has further proof that you never know what you’ll experience when riding around town.
On the N-Judah, a mother and daughter came up to me and said they were admiring my shoes from afar. I told them one of my secrets: second-hand stores have some of the best designer dress-up heels and these are one of my favorite pairs, and they started laughing saying they totally agree.
Suddenly, a Goodwill truck passed by us and the mom yelled for it to stop so we could rob it. The daughter, who is in her 20s, was wearing a great pair of huge dark sunglasses, which I told her that I loved, and she lifted them up to show me a huge purple shiner on her right eye. This is why I’m wearing these, she says, its a cheerleading accident gone wrong. We all laugh and I tell her she still looks hot and possibly hotter with the black eye because it makes her look tough.

Did you know that SF has a pro hockey team? You do now! They’re called the Bulls, an appropriate regional mascot. Seals, pigeons, and seagulls were already taken, I’m guessing.
Anyway, as Uptown Almanac reported a few weeks back, Rawhide, the Bulls‘ mascot, is just like us. Dude rode the 22-Fillmore and handed out free hockey tickets to anyone who said, “Go, Bulls!” according to a UA commenter. Neat.

Update: According to a friend of the artist, this is more specifically the work of Oscar Wickman, who studied advertising at the Academy of Art. AAU posted this on its official Tumblr as the School of Advertising.
The Academy of Art’s School of Advertising came up with this nifty chart. It provides many options that aren’t “stare at your phone and then tweet about how late/terrible/non-existent Muni is right now.”
I’d like to try some of these out, especially, “Come up with alternative endings for movies.” One of mine would be: “George Lucas dies at the end of Return of the Jedi, and the prequels are never made.” What are yours?
