OMG, you guys. It’s like an old car show, Muni-style. Beginning yesterday, and happening again next Sunday, Muni is wheeling out special Sunday service for these vintage buses to celebrate Muni’s upcoming 100th birthday. How cool is that?

The fine folks at Market Street Railway have more on the two-time special Sunday service. Meanwhile, click the photo below to open a gallery of images we dug up.

On November 2, 2012, the San Francisco Community College District Police Department received an anonymous tip that the suspect was on the Phelan Campus. They detained the suspect and contacted the San Francisco Police Department. Officers from the San Francisco Police’s Muni Task Force responded to the campus and took the suspect into custody.

Riley was booked into San Francisco County Jail on the following charges: battery with serious injuries, battery on a transportation operator and mayhem. All three charges are felonies. Riley’s mug shot is not being released at this time pending further identification matters.

“Mayhem” sounds about right to us. We’ll update here if more details emerge.

Man struck and killed by Muni near the Montgomery station

A man was struck and killed by a Muni Metro train near the Montgomery station, SFGate reports. Expect delays all over the Muni Metro system this morning. In this photo by @zackharrison117 on Twitter, a sizable crowd was waiting at Church and Duboce for the delayed train to go downtown. More from SFGate:

An inbound N-Judah train hit the man in the tunnel 700 feet west of the station platform shortly before 7:30 a.m.

Officials said it is unclear why the man was in the tunnel. He was declared dead at the scene, and the station will be closed until the medical examiner’s office arrives and conducts its investigation.

We’ll update this post as more details, including delay information, become available.
