Update: Thanks to Muni Diaries commenter fermata, I learned the reason behind this Muni rider’s dyed beard: Dyeing beards was practice among Muslim soldiers to make them look younger. We love learning new things, so if you know more, fill us in. Muni, it teaches us things about one another.

Natalie’s diary is one of those “how we do” moments.
I was on the N-Judah around 10 last Tuesday morning. This guy kept dancing around, then sitting, then dancing. Then, sure enough, he decided to jump up and flip over onto the pole!!!
It was absolutely hilarious, and yet he was pretty good at it. I’m sure this isn’t the first time he has done it.
What’s next, Muni parkour?

Cherry Blossom Festival
Over the next two weekends, April 13-14 and April 20-21, the Cherry Blossom Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. For more event details, please visit www.sfcherryblossom.org.
The following Muni routes will be affected:
· 2 Clement
· 3 Jackson
· 22 Fillmore
The Cherry Blossom Parade will be held on Sunday, April 21.
Sunday Streets – Mission District
The second Sunday Streets events will be held this Sunday in the Mission District. Sunday’s event is a 2.2-mile route and includes street closures on portions of 24th Street, Valencia Street and various adjacent streets. The route will be available for recreational activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free to all participants.

The 22-Fillmore was rather packed this morning. Stephanie was forced into an intimate moment with her Muni driver, as seen above.

Shortly after that, she says, “Now some lil old lady who needs to get off is hitting me over and over again and i cant go anywhere.”
