BART now goes to Florida, SoCal
Or so Universal Studios would have you believe. Or, upon closer inspection, this looks like a BART train in the worst disguise in the world—as a Golden Gate Transit … train?
The ride is called Earthquake in California and Disaster in Florida. Thanks for the distinction, Universal!
Devin got a wee bit obsessed on a recent visit down south. The following are his dispatches.
I didn't realize there was a @SFBART station in North Hollywood. Love the IBM fare gates & old BART map at the end: https://t.co/Pvat2NrMit

Wiki says at Universal Studios Florida you would ride a faux @SFBART train from West Oakland to Embarcadero: pic.twitter.com/blQBwqahcC

And in FL you'd enter the @SF_CableCar barn and wide up on a @SFBART train. cc: @enf pic.twitter.com/T3aO1s9zuR

No. One of my worst nightmares is being trapped on BART during an earthquake. Just no.
I rode the one in Hollywood, Fla when I was a kid. Was scary and fun.
I thought Golden Gate Transit only went between SF and the North Bay. Now I’m not sure who didn’t do enough research: me, or the people who created this “attraction”.
I don’t see what’s the big deal. This was EXACTLY what Embarcadero station was like this morning. :/
Wonder what the Golden Gate Bridge and Transit District would think about “being in the train business?”
I’ve been saying we should move Golden Gate Park to Marin for DECADES.
