A pretty little illustration of the F-Market
Look at it, sittin’ there being all pretty and stuff. That’s streetcar No. 1058, painted to honor Chicago for those who care to know.
The artwork is by Ellen, who says that she’s engaging in “100 days of drawing.” More more more!
The pole rope is inaccurate. For the rope to be in the position as drawn, the front pole would have to be down. If the pole is up as drawn, the rope hangs straight down and isn’t tucked off to the side as drawn.
I believe the pole is hooked down (as it would normally be on a single-ended car) in this illustration. However, the pole seems a little large in this figure.
When the pole is down, it’s really down. Looking at the car head-on (as drawn), you’d see only the tip since the pole is entirely horizontal — it doesn’t stick up at all.
POKEY
Jesus, you guys. It’s A DRAWING.
