Columbus Day Holiday Muni Schedule
On Monday for the Columbus Day Holiday Muni will operate on a regular weekday schedule.

San Francisco Bulls Hockey Games
On Thursday and Saturday, the SF Bulls will play two pre-season games against Bakersfield Condors and Stockton Thunder at the Cow Palace. Each game will begin at 7:30 p.m. For more details, please visit www.sfbulls.com.

The following Muni routes will be affected:

  • 8X Bayshore Express
  • 8BX Bayshore B Express
  • 9 San Bruno


Lower Haight Urban Air Market
On Saturday, the Urban Air Market will take place on Haight Street between Webster and Pierce streets from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more details, please visit www.urbanairmarket.com.

Haight Street between Fillmore and Pierce streets will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The following Muni routes will be affected:

· 6 Parnassus
· 71 Haight-Noriega

Outer Noriega Merchants Street Fair

On Saturday, the 3rd annual Outer Noriega Merchants Street Fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Sunset District.

The following street closures will be required between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.:
Noriega Street between 45th and 47th avenues
Intersection: 46th Avenue at Noriega Street

The 71 Haight-Noriega Muni route will be affected.

Inner Sunset Sundays
On Sunday, the Inner Sunset Sundays will take place on Irving Street from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Irving Street between 9th and 10th avenues will be closed from 1 a.m. to mid-night.

Possible delays on the following Muni line and route due to traffic around the event area:

  • N-Judah
  • 44-O’Shaughnessy

SF Decompression Heat The Street Faire
On Sunday the 14th Annual Decompression Heat The Street Faire and Burning Man presentation will take place from noon to 10 p.m. For more details, please visit www.burningman.com.The following street closures will be required between 7 a.m., Sunday and 2 a.m., Monday:

· Indiana Street between Mariposa and 22nd streets
· 19th Street between Minnesota and Indiana streets
· 20th Street between Minnesota and Indiana streets
· Intersection of 19th, 20th, and Indiana streets

The 22 Fillmore Muni route may experience heavy ridership.

Italian Heritage Parade
On Sunday the 145th annual Italian Heritage Day Parade will be held in North Beach and Fisherman’s Wharf beginning at 12:30 p.m. from Jefferson and Powell streets and proceed to Washington Square. The parade should last 2.5 hours and 150,000 people are expected. For event details, please visit www.sfcolumbusday.org.

The parade formation will require the following street closures, beginning at 8 a.m.:

· Powell Street between Chestnut and Beach streets
· Stockton Street between Bay and Beach streets
· Beach Street between Mason Street and Grant Avenue
· North Point Street between Mason Street and The Embarcadero
· Francisco Street between Stockton and Mason streets
· Greenwich Street between Powell and Columbus streets

The parade route will begin on Jefferson Street at Mason Street, proceed west on Jefferson Street, south on Leavenworth Street, south on Columbus Avenue, south on Stockton Street, east on Vallejo Street, north on Columbus Avenue, north on Stockton Street, east on to Filbert Street and past the review stands at Washington Square Park. Parade units will disburse on Powell Street. Traffic along the parade route will be closed until the parade clears.

The following Muni lines and routes will be affected:

· Powell-Mason Cable Car
· F Market & Wharves
· 8X Bayshore Express
· 30 Stockton
· 39 Coit
· 45 Union/Stockton
· 47 Van Ness

Parking is very limited in the North Beach neighborhood.

49ers Football Game
On Sunday, the San Francisco 49ers will host their fourth home game against the Arizona Cardinals at 1:30 p.m. at Candlestick Park.

Motorists should expect delays on all bridges and freeways leading into San Francisco for at least two hours before the start of the game and for at least two hours after the end of the game. Fans attending the games are encouraged to take public transportation. For more information, please visit www.sfmta.com/football.

NEW NFL Bag Policy: Fans should be advised that there is a new NFL Bag Policy in effect at 49ers games. Only NFL-approved bags will be permitted inside Candlestick Park. For more information, please visit www.49ers.com/stadium/prohibited-items.html.

On game days, Muni offers several ways to get to Candlestick Park from locations throughout San Francisco. There are four Muni Express routes and two Shuttles.

All service, including the express service, is regular fare service, $2 adult per trip and $.75 for youth/senior/disabled per trip.

For faster boarding, customers are encouraged to buy their fare prior to boarding the express service. Clipper cards with either a Fast Pass or pre-loaded cash can be purchased at your convenience. Customers can load their cards online at www.clippercard.com (please allow at least five days for processing), or at one of the participating Clipper vendors or ticket vending machines in a Muni Metro station. On game days, Muni customers may purchase their fare in advance. SFMTA staff will sell one-way and roundtrip Muni fares from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the following locations:

· Balboa Park BART Station
· Sutter Street/Sansome Street

For service to and from the game, T Third customers should transfer at the Gilman/Paul station to the 87 Candlestick Shuttle, which operates directly between the station and Candlestick Park.

· 75X Candlestick Express – from Balboa Park BART
· 77X Candlestick Express – from California and Van Ness
· 78X Candlestick Express – from California and Funston
· 79X Candlestick Express – from Sutter and Sansome
· 86 Candlestick Shuttle – from Bacon and San Bruno
· 87 Candlestick Shuttle – from Third Street and Gillman, T Third Station

Post-game Service:
· 75X Candlestick Express – to Balboa Park BART
· 77X Candlestick Express – to Van Ness and North Point
· 78X Candlestick Express – to California and Funston
· 79X Candlestick Express – to Kearny and Sutter
· 86 Candlestick Shuttle – to Bacon and San Bruno
· 87 Candlestick Shuttle – to Third Street and Gillman, T Third Station

79X Candlestick Express Re-route
As of last year, the southbound 79X, which provides express service to the 49ers game from downtown, will be re-routed due to Central Subway construction on Stockton and 4th streets. Customers traveling to the game can board the 79X Candlestick Express at the following locations:

· Mason and Geary
· Cyril Magnin and Market
· 5th Street and Mission
· 5th Street and Howard
· 5th Street and Folsom

The southbound buses will then travel express to Candlestick Park from 5th and Folsom streets. Northbound buses will remain on the regular route.

REMINDER: Closure of The Marin Headlands
Due to the recent shutdown of the Federal Government, the Marin Headlands which is operated by the National Park Services is close to the public.

On Saturday and Sunday, Muni bus route 76X Marin Headlands will be re-routed for the duration of the Federal Government shutdown. The route will only travel to the Golden Gate Bridge. There will be no service to the Marin Headlands.
