This Thursday the San Francisco Transit Riders Union is having a fundraiser/date auction at the Make-Out Room. The merriment includes an auction of some pretty cool date packages, and some San Francisco singles with Muni cred. Who knows, you might just meet someone who can be your partner in crime in the best Muni love story ever.

Join us for an epic night of romance and revelry as SFTRU hosts its first-ever date auction fundraiser to support better public transit in San Francisco! Come out for drinks, dancing, and a chance to win a date with some awesome SF singles. SFTRU will send bidders and their dates on a memorable San Francisco evening filled with food, fun… and Muni, of course!
Auction date packages include:
– Disc golf (courtesy of SportsBasement) + Golden Gate Park picnic (courtesy of Bi-Rite)
– Asian Art Museum + Asian restaurant
– Academy of Sciences + Park Chow
– Supperclub Dinner & Show
– Two tickets to any show at the Great American Music Hall + dinner

Mission local Jane Kim (NOT the supervisor) who says that “Muni is a great way to meet people! I’ve been picked up twice on the 30x – I guess they don’t call it the “dirty thirty” for nothing.”Health-tech consultant Shik Sundar, whose most eventful Muni experience was “meeting MC Hammer on the bus after Outside Lands one year. Scott Ricketts – programmer by day, rock star by night – Scott’s in a band is called Low Country Kingdom. He describes their sound: “like if Stevie Wonder and Kanye West had a baby and then that baby was raised by Jimi Hendrix and a pack of wolves.”
