Here we go …
America’s Cup World Series
The 34th annual America’s Cup World Series boat racing event takes place this week through Sunday in the Marina Green area where the main viewing and the America’s Cup Village are situated. A free concert featuring Doc Dog will take place on Saturday at 5 p.m. Motorists should allow extra travel time. Please visit www.americascup.com/en/events for more details.
Muni will provide special bus service before and after the event on Thursday and Friday. Supplemental and special bus service will be in place on Saturday and Sunday.
Giants vs. Braves
On Friday the San Francisco Giants will host the first of three games against the Atlanta Braves at AT&T Park. First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. The series continues Saturday, at 1:05 p.m. and Sunday at 5 p.m.
Heavy traffic is expected both before and after the games. Game attendees and those traveling in the area are encouraged to take public transit.
Sunday Streets Chinatown
The eighth of 10 Sunday Streets events will be held this Sunday in Chinatown and Embarcadero neighborhoods. The route (see attached map) will be available for recreational activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free to all participants.

I like the Sunday Streets idea…. but have issues when they shut down Sansome & Battery for cross town traffic on a CRAZY busy sunday! REALLY?!!! In addition, there is NO signage before you get to the closed streets… or detour signs…. or anything. Sometimes you need to drive across town! (Because taking muni will be a 3 hour adventure, if you’re lucky)
