Muni Sign Speaks: Equality For All

From my window at work on Parnassus Ave, I noticed a 6 bus showing the words “GO BULLS” (yesterday) and a 43 showing “EQUALITY!” today (for the vote on pay equality). I didn’t realize drivers had that much power. Go drivers! Better than GO GIANTS (from an As fan).
Sports allegiance aside, this is pretty cool, almost as cool as “Nowhere in Particular.”
Spotted other Muni signage of interest? Tell all!
I saw one sporting a “MUNI at 100” message, is it really 100 yrs old? Shouldn’t there be some kind of celebration so we can bring out all the groovy old buses and F line beauties?
There WAS a celebration in April where Muni’s Car #1 was brought out.
Yes, Trixie, Muni really will be 100 in December. As Paul notes, there was a celebration re-introducing streetcar No. 1 to service. Muni Diaries is celebrating the centennial by collecting Muni stories for our 100 Days, 100 Muni Stories feature. The best stories will end up on bus ads later this year.
I’ve been seeing the Eqality for All on the #1 and #44 busses all week… I thought it was kind of cool!
i like this! makes me proud SFiscan xxom <3
The one I like the most was “No Where in Particular”..I saw that on the buses when I first moved to SF.
i just saw this marquee on friday, it’s fabulous! i hope they keep it. as for centennial celebrations, there are a lot of little events taking place all year – SFMTA lists them at their centennial site:

What was worst was when the signs said “GO GIANTS!” when the 49ers were playing…….. the Giants.
worst/best amirite?
The diversity of messages on Muni signs truly reflects the vibrant tapestry of our city. It is heartening to see drivers using their platforms to advocate for important causes like pay equality.
